| FM Approved
4991 |
Factory
Mutual has for the first time in history approved a contractor.
In the past FM Global has only approved products. However,
in the Firestopping industry application of the product alone
will not prevent fire and smoke spread. The product must be
installed according to manufacture and UL specifications resulting
in a specific rated system. Realizing this FM found it necessary
to approve both the firestopping product and the specialty
contractor. Now by using an FM approved 4991 contractor you
can be assured that all life safety needs will be meet with
independent 3rd party tested systems. |
GPI was in the first
round of FM approved 4991 contractors showing our commitment
to life safety excellence for the past 10 years. |
